RINUS VAN ALEBEEK (NL/DE)
“I will come to Brussels with some tapes and tape players.
If the audience will talk all the time I will provide them with sonic wallpaper.
If the audience would like to pay attention I will provide them with a sonic carpet.”

MARCIN BARSKI (PL)
Active in the field of experimental music and sound art since early 2000s as music publisher, promoter, independent researcher, writer and sound artist. Collects old abandoned cassette tapes with private recordings which are his main source material for creative work. Barski transforms bits and pieces of found sounds: conversations, family events, historical broadcasts archived on tapes, phone conversations, music and amateur field recordings into audial collages and presents in a form of concerts and sound installations. He is also a co-founder of Instytut Pejzażu Dźwiękowego (Soundscape Institute) – an independent research platform for field recordings, environmental sounds and philosophy of listening. Creates geo-locative sound walks in various locations in Poland, often focused on audial interpretations of the sense of social, historical and cultural identity of the local communities.
